IBM PS/2 Model 80-111

At the first glance, it looks as though the -111 is just a -071 with a bigger hard disk. The -111 uses the 115MB IBM 0669 ESDI drive, the largest ESDI drive of the 'black series' ever made by IBM. Some later models like the -311 had even larger drives of ~300MB, but those were made by third-party vendors.

The true improvement of the -111 is that it is the first one to have the redesigned Model 80 planar with a 20 MHz CPU. Though the speedup is nice to have, the real benefit of the new planar is that some bugs present in the original 16 MHz planar have been fixed: Linux runs smoothly and without hiccups - if you forget about the low performance of the ps2esdi driver...
