This file is found on the diskette. 2.0 Fix Pak requirements ________________________ Fix Pak requirements for this driver: OS/2 V3 requires Fix Pak 35 or higher OS/2 V4 requires Fix Pak 5 or higher 3.0 Installing the Display Device Driver from Diskette ______________________________________________________ The installation diskette volume label must be "CL 1". 1. Double-click the "OS/2 SYSTEM" folder located on the desktop. 2. Double-click "COMMAND PROMPTS". 3. Double-click "OS/2 WINDOW" or "OS/2 FULL SCREEN" command session. 4. Insert the Cirrus Logic Installation diskette in drive A. 5. From the OS/2 session type "A:" and then hit [enter]. Then from the A: prompt type "install" and then hit [enter]. 6. From the "Cirrus Logic Install Program" window, select "Install". 7. A message will appear to switch to a full screen session to identify your graphics hardware and memory configuration. Click "OK". 8. After the files have been copied to the system, a message will appear inquiring whether you would like to change your display driver settings. Select "No" if you don't want to change your settings at this time. 9. Remove the diskette from drive A. 10. Shut down by selecting the Shut down button on the Launch Pad, and re-boot. 4.0 Driver Resolution Modification - OS/2 V3 and V4 ___________________________________________________ To change resolutions and pixel depths within the driver AFTER INSTALLATION, take the following steps: 1. Double click on the "Os2 System" icon found on the Desktop. 2. Double click on the "System Setup" icon. 3. Double click on the "System" icon. 4. The Screen tab of the System-Properties page appears, select the resolution that you want to use for your monitor. Click the "test" button. 5. Click "OK" to test your mode refresh/selection. 6. A message appears to notify you that your screen will be switching away from the desktop to test your Mode/Refresh Selections. Click "OK" to proceed. 7. OS/2 will display a test image with your adjustments. Click "No" if the test image does does not appear correctly (black or corrupted image). Repeat the above steps to choose the proper settings to support your monitor. Click "Yes" if your test image was clear and you wish to retain the selections, 8. Re-boot your system. NOTE: You must shut-down using the Shut down radio button on the Launch pad, and re-boot before the change will actually take place 5.0 Driver Display Selection - OS/2 V3 and V4 _____________________________________________ To select a particular monitor, or to enable DDC monitor: 1. Click your right mouse button on the OS/2 Desktop and select the entry "System Setup". When the folder opens, double click on the SYSTEM icon. 2.
