The new name is "MPEG/Video Capture Driver II for OS/2." The accompanying Video Capture Driver Diskette enables and updates the video capture/overlay function in the ThinkPad system. The following models are supported: - ThinkPad 760ED, 760XD, 765D Released Version ---------------- Version 1.00 Initial release for ThinkPad 760ED Version 1.01 A fix for some problems Version 1.10 A fix for some problems and new diskette name Summary of Change ----------------- Key: Diskette version (for example, 1.00 means Version 1.00) (New) New function or enhancement (Fix) Correction to existing function <1.00> - (New) Support for ThinkPad 760ED <1.01> - (Fix) The system hangs intermittently during video capture with VIDEO IN. - (Fix) If you capture an image by using the Video IN application in TV PAL underscan mode, the lower one-third of the captured image is distorted. - (Fix) The overlay size or position of the MPEG or Video IN is incorrect when you use the TV output mode. - (Fix) The overlay size and position with TV mode is incorrect. <1.10> - (Fix) Thermal problem. - (New) Diskette name change: Old: Video Capture Driver II for OS/2 New: MPEG/Video Capture Driver II for OS/2 Installation Guide ------------------ Notes: - Use this driver diskette only for the ThinkPad models listed above. - Before installing, make sure that you have installed the following software in the computer: - ThinkPad Display Device Driver for OS/2 Warp (IBM ThinkPad Video Features Diskette II for OS/2 Version 1.10) - Mwave DSP support software - Video IN Recorder (in the OS/2 Warp BonusPak) - MMPM/2 MPEG Update Diskette for OS/2 Version 1.20 (This was named MPEG Features Diskette II for OS/2) 1. Start OS/2 Warp. 2. Open the Multimedia folder from the desktop, and click on Multimedia Application Install. 3. Insert the MPEG/Video Capture Driver II for OS/2 diskette into the diskette drive. 4. Specify which diskette drive you are installing from. 5. Select both Trident Video Capture and ThinkPad MPEG Features II. 6. Click on Install. You see the following message in the dialog box: "Specify the total number of this type of device in your machine:" "Trident Video Capture" 7. When you see "1" as the number of the device, select OK. (Do not change the number of the device.) 8. Follow the instructions on the screen. You see the following message in the dialog box. "Specify the total number of this type of device in your machine:" "IBM MPEG Enhanced" 9. When you see "1" as the number of device, select OK. (Do not change the number of device.) 10.
