WorkPad OS? v3.1.1 Update

This WorkPad OS v3.1.1 update is designed exclusively for use on WorkPad connected 
organizers currently running Palm OS v3.1 software, namely WorkPad c3 and WorkPad 
PC Companion connected organizers. This update is not intended for use with Palm OS 
v1.0.x, Palm OS v2.0.x or Palm OS v3.0.x software - if installed, it will 
have no effect.

Purpose
The Palm OS v3.1.1 update provides the following enhancements to your WorkPad c3 or 
PC Companion connected organizer:

o Reduces the faint background lines (sometimes referred to as "streaking") 
visible in applications with grid patterns, such as the month view in Date 
Book, on some WorkPad PC Companion devices. (WorkPad c3 organizers are not 
affected by this change).

o Prevents "up" scroll button activation (sometimes referred to as "clicking")
which can occur whenever an alarm dialog is displayed and the up scroll  button
is pressed. Once the software is installed, the up scroll button is disabled 
whenever an alarm dialog is displayed.

o Corrects two internal grayscale palette values.

Installing Palm OS v3.1.1
Users may use the WorkPad Install Tool included with the WorkPad Desktop 
software to install the update.

1. Locate the directory where the wpos311.exe file is stored.
2. Double-click on wpos311.exe to extract the file. When saving the 
upd311.prc file, use the following path:

C:\WorkPad\Update\v3.10

NOTE: Typing this path will create the v3.10 folder if it does not already 
exist. Also, this path may not be correct if you have changed the location 
of the WorkPad directory.

3. Launch the WorkPad Desktop v3.0.1 application. Select the Install Tool icon.
4. Select the correct user name from the User list.
5. Select the Add button.
6. Locate upd311.prc file in the v3.10 folder in the UPDATE directory and 
double-click on it.
7. Select Done.
8. Select OK.

During the next HotSync operation, the new system software automatically downloads to your 
WorkPad c3 or WorkPad PC Companion connected organizer.ed.

o Corrects two internal grayscale palette values.
