General Description

The TA 350 was the 'standard' amplifier in the 1979 series. It provided an output power sufficient for all speakers available in the mass market at that time, and all necessary inputs and controls are avaiable. Of course it does not have the 'luxury' features of the TA 750, but it's still a respectable design of this time.

Features

2x50W RMS output power, bass/treble control, noise filter two speaker outputs, individually switchable.

Common Failures

I haven't had any major problems with my TA 350 so far. The only problem so far were corroded connectors that transport the audio signals to the power am board, making one channel rather silent...

The Hifi Chassis 1000 uses a single supply voltage and therefore needs output coupling capacitors. The TA 350 uses two 1500 &mirco;F capacitors per channel, connected in parallel. Since there was not enough board space, the capacitors are 'stacked' and held in place via cable binders. Not a very professional construction, and it might become a problem one day...
